Type1 laid and compacted by lunch time!

15 tonnes of type1 ordered for sat morn, arrived 1 day early!!

Progress to date, diagonal brace for steel work, granite plinth to take sliding doors. Timber round all windows.
Tonight was shutter work for plinth for back door but run out of light!

Also, now have garage door!

Just when I thought I had seen the last brick!
The time  has come to specify doors and windows for back of house. Departing from original drawings, bifolds are being replaced by sliders.  If we go for Internorm, which is looking likely, they are nearly 200mm thick! That's much more than a single brick which was provided from foundation up. Have now excavated back to top of foundation to brick up double thickness, 2 bricks!

damp proof

Vertical damp proof to outer skin of existing wall provided by injected cream. Kingfisher dri-wall cream.
